Mark joined Police Insure in January 2011, following 30 years' service with Cheshire Constabulary. He spent the majority of his career in CID at Halton and Warrington and on the Force Major Crime Investigation Unit.
For the last six years of his service, Mark had the privilege of being Chairman of Cheshire Police Federation and in 2011 he was rewarded with an MBE in recognition of his services to the Force. Mark also works two days a week as the Business Development Manager for Cheshire Police Federation and spends his spare time with his family.
Martin joined Police Insure in March 2019, bringing a wealth of experience from his unique career in the Emergency Services. His journey began with Cheshire Constabulary, where he served in various operational roles across Macclesfield, Halton, and Warrington, and later at the Force Training Centre. Martin's leadership was instrumental in the implementation of the Crime and Disorder Act and the development of the "Partnership Inspector" role, culminating in his position as Inspector responsible for Custody Services.
After retiring from Cheshire Constabulary in 2011, Martin transitioned to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) as Community Safety Manager. There, he oversaw the delivery of risk-based fire prevention and community safety interventions, forging strong partnerships with key organizations to enhance the GMFRS "Safe and Well" offer. His efforts significantly improved public safety across Greater Manchester.
At Police Insure, Martin is excited to reconnect with the Police community in the North West, offering high-quality products and services. His commitment to excellent customer care ensures that clients receive knowledgeable and helpful support from the team.
Martin is passionate about community service and volunteers with local safety initiatives. Martin's dedication to helping others extends beyond his professional life, making him a valued member of both his professional and local communities.
Ian joins the Police Insure family, having completed 30 years with West Yorkshire Police in March 2019. His career in the Police was predominantly in uniform roles, and as an Inspector, concluded his career by leading a Neighbourhood Policing Team in Leeds District. He also served five years as a Police Federation representative.
Steve initially joined Police Insure in 2012 on retirement from Dorset Police, but for family reasons he took a break and has recently returned to his role as Business Development Manager covering Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, Avon and Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Gwent, South Wales and Dyfed Powys Police Forces.
Steve served for 30 years, spending most of his service in uniform and on Roads Policing. For the last 6 years of his service he was the Secretary to Dorset Police Federation which he found a busy but highly rewarding role.
He now works with Federations and Forces to promote the benefits of Police Insure to all Serving and Retired Police Officers, Special Constabulary members, Police Staff and all family members.
Darren served 31 years with the Metropolitan Police. He spent the first half of his career in the East End. The second half took him to the West End as a detective then Scotland Yard, with his final seven years in Counter Terrorism.
Darren has since worked for the Home Office screening refugees at Manston and with the Department of Health and Social Care managing COVID ‘Red’ reception hotels.
A long-time customer of Police Insure, Darren values the company’s tailored service and strong police ties. He has been part of the team for six years across two separate spells. Darren came back when Howden took over the company to explore the new opportunities this presented.
Paul served all his police career in London, Since then he has worked as a contractor for various forces including his home force of Essex. He has recently been working on a lifelong ambition to build his own home. He is our newest member and is currently introducing himself to our community.
